Black Mountain

Hike

Started off as a nice hike on a warm day and ended with my trudging through snow and over icy rocks. Good times.

Drink

Just finishing a Dead Horse Amber Ale from the Moab Brewery I had leftover from my Arches trip. It was still delicious, though it looks a bit out of place in the snow.

Black Mountain
Avenues Twin Peaks are the two bumps to the right. I’m heading to Black Mountain, the most left of the three little bumps in the top left.
Bit Snowy
Apparently the peaks get more snow than the valleys. Who knew?
First Steps
The steps I was following end here. Guess I’m trailblazing to the top…
Final Stretch
This last stretch took me probably half an hour for obvious reasons.
Scrambling
There were several places like this along the ridge I had to scramble over. That’s about twice my height…
Cliffs
And there’s a cliff on both sides…
Made It
Made It! Looking west. I think I see Nevada… lol
